I don't know if you caught my edit (I do that a lot):

Are mono amps OK? Every other amp seems to be stereo. But from what I understand bass is mono anyway, right? How's this place: http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=2546 The untrusting guy I am, e-bay makes me think twice or maybe three times. Plus, I don't think dad would let me use his credit card anyway.

Um, anyways.

How should I wire my subs? Do I just tell the installers to wire them for 2 ohms? What else do I need to specify?

Should I give them this wiring kit? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=1863080 Or should I just let them do it their own way? My friend said that wires cost him $40 when he had one rockford put in his car at the same installer.

yeah 2 ohms.

tell them to use a DMM and set the gain correctly.

As for the wiring....

depends if you want to spend $24 on wire or $40 on wire

And what's the difference between the two model years of the same amp. I don't care about looks. I care about price and quality.
