Why should I trust adire audio?

Frankly, with the mentality you are exhibiting, perhaps the Shiva is not for you. It is matte black, no chrome, no logos, no blinking LEDs to show off to your friends. Put simply, the sub is made for performance.

No one here is a salesman pushing products. (well ALMOST no one) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I like to call them "sleeper, stealths".Um, yeah, er no one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm thinking two subs because everyone always seems to upgrade from one eventually anyway.

I don't have an amp yet. Supa C recommended the 800w MA Audio Amp (I'm guessing because it is inexpensive, I'd like to keep a budget of $500 for subs, box, and amp).

I listen to a lot of rap and a bit of classic rock. I don't want a system biased towards rap however, because I don't know if my tastes will change later on. I definitely don't do jazz or heavy metal. So don't plan on that. Country is OK, 50% of rap I like (but the stuff I like I really like). Classic rock will never go out of style (AC/DC, Skynard, Queen, Eagles, etc).

EDIT: Forgot to mention what type of bass I prefer in my music. While I don't dislike it, I don't want a system biased towards low, rumbling bass like Barry White trying to hum a tune. I like that punch of the drum that kicks you in the chest. I'm about the beat, not the rumble. I like the stuff that gets you tapping your foot to the beat.

It's a valid point dan, but do research like you're doing now...but don't aim pessimistically. Use the search button, i'm sure there's literally hundreds of threads reporting satisfactory deals with adire, keep an open mind...here we'll open you up to different brands that have the same or better performance of mainstream brands @ half the price. peace

maybe if you really are that skeptical then you shoulent get them, and pay twice the price for something else that has half the quality, but if you acually heard something and liked it perhaps you should buy that.

Dan Wiggins, the proprietor and BRAIN behind Adire. The man is a genious in his own right.

Dan is definitely an incredibly smart guy. But he's not the smartest guy at Adire. Dan's partner, David Hyre has his doctorate in magneto resonance spectroscopy (or something like that) and works in the biology department at the local college. He's one of those super geniouses who make rocket scientists look dumb. There is a great deal of talent here at Adire, and I think that is one of the things that makes Adire so successful. I am very privilaged to work here.

Cheers to Dan AND David then. Thanks for the info, something I never knew. More brain power there than you guys know what to do with huh?

i dont even understand why you are posting on this forum if you dont trust a company.

why would you trust sony?

how about kool-aid?

hmm. tuppawear?

tbh, i didnt read this whole thread. i didnt read your post. if you think the company is shady, go to some reasearch.

i suppose this classifys as research. so i hope you got your awnser. next time try not to make it such a negative sounding topic.

While I can understand anyones hesitations to buy something you really can't hear first, this is what i would do.

Do as much research as I can about the product since I can't drive to a local dealer and get it. Second, I would ask some of the people that have bought the product and used it, and how was their experience with them.

In my findings and what I have read, and I have met Dan personally.

I wouldn't think twice about using their products. Sure, there are many fly by night and starting up companies doing car audio now...it's a really easy business to get into. Yet another, to stay afloat.

Adire Audio is one of the 'long haulers' IMHO....and I think you will see a service from people like Stephen and Dan, you won't even at a brick and mortar dealer.......
