Why do so many people think speakers PUSH watts

The funniest thing anyone has every told me happend about a week ago. My friend said his brother was "really" into car audio and knew a lot about it. Well my friend was bragging to his brother about how good my system is and told him to come listen for a demo. Of course the brother acted all non-chalunt* about it and said "Yeah your system has a lot of sound pressure, but isint that loud! After, that he tells me he was hitting 190dbs and that he only had 2 12"s off 2000 watts. I was quite dissapointed as I was excited to have a conversation with someone that was "really" into car audio and knew a lot about it.

The funniest thing I've heard....

This guy in a Mazda Miata kept coming up to the shop getting prices on installs, we'd tell him something and he'd come back 2 days later wanting a different price.

Was just one of those time wasters that talk about doing a 2 grand install but never do anything...

Well he did his own install and I admitted it was decently clean until he said this...

I also own a heating and air business, car audio is a hobby...not enough money in it to do day to day but I help out at his shop when they need it

lol my friend listened to my system and the 1st thing he says is "now just get a capacitor and that shit will sound SO much cleaner!" i laughed a little and explained to him caps... "nah man, my friend has a cap and it sounded WAY better after. he knows a lot about car audio. trust me man!" then i explained to him power and my 250amp alt... "... oh... ya, ok... i think you know more"
