That's not bad at all for a laptop. I'm gonna run 06 tomorrow, I just formatted my HDDs and don't have any benchmarks anymore though (forgot to back those up, sadly).

Jmac, OC that **** 3800+ NAO! Seriously dude, you can get at least 2.4Ghz easy, mine is going 2.5 like nothing (I hit 2.8 before, but I don't run it daily because no games would benefit from it atm and it's hotter).

I got 3200 on an old 2.8 (O.C. to 3.4) P4 northwood and a POS x1300 on 06. It's been stable for years now lol.

I'm planning on using that same 7600GT in my next setup. I ran an unlocked 6200 that played everything including FEAR at a playable framerate and medium detail. I don't see how you could be dissatisfied with a 7600gt unless you're upping every setting possible.

My P4c 2.4 has been clocked at 3.2 for quite a while now. I have an aftermarket heatsink on it but it's not a fancy one.

CPU bottleneck, obviously. Still beats a pair of 7600 GTs in 06 (best score w/ 2 x 7600 GTs in SLI with those clocks is a little over 6200) and especially in the real world.
What do you get ?

Haven't run 06 yet. I'm not doubting that the 8800 is a superior card. I hit 10,8xx yesterday on 05, though. I was just shocked that you weren't closer to 12,000. I am kind of regretting not a dual core processor. I'm barely getting over 5,000 in PCMark04.

Oh, and the reason I went with two low/mid end cards was because I got them for $180 for the pair. Suits my gaming needs.... for now.

That's mine right there. Samung makes a killlllller monitor. 19" widescreen with a 4ms response time? Ballin'! If I remember correctly, I got it for like $140 with a 2 year replacement plan from CompUSA.
