-Ultra X-Connect 500w PSU

-MGE M1 Gamer case

-Samsung BW-940 19" Widescreen LCD (4ms response time)

I also have a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop with 1GB of Patriot Dual Channel, low latency RAM.

I have a 2ghz computer in a little 8x8inch case with 768mb ram. The computer is smaller than the cyber acoustics sub on my desk.

It's old as **** but I'm pretty sure programs cannot load any faster than this. Everything instantly pops up when I click on it I never see loading on it, yet all the parts are like 5 years old.

Cost around $150 to build, the most expensive part being the processor, I bought all the used crap on Ebay.

Your thermaltake cooling crap alone probably costs more than this, what a waste.

I'm ballin on a budget.

Well then I hope your computer stops working, and you can bring it to me at CompUSA. I'll charge you $150 labor to change your RAM for you. And if that doesn't work, I'll just use your own Quick Restore CD on it for another $50. If that doesn't get it, maybe you need a new hard drive. Add another $100 labor for that. After new parts and labor, you'll only be out ~$600.

Let's break it down for ya then?

Given the capitals, this would indicate brands of parts.

AMD Athlon is the PROCESSOR.

The Asus thing is probably the motherboard.

Corsair ValuRam, yes that is RAM.

eVGA, well VGA means video graphics array, so these are probably graphics cards.

Sound Blaster audigy, I have no comment if you could not figure out what that is.

Thermaltake/Artic cooling - Another self explanation, cools the computer.

Ultra x-connect, that is probably the power source.

and MGE, another self explanation. (notice, gamer case) If you do not know what a case is, well, poor you.

I knew shit about computers, but unlike what people think, they are easy as hell to put together. Took about a half hour to pick out parts to build a basic computer and another thirty to build it. Once it was built, installing Linux was the trickiest part.
