i have a two year old laptop. which does fantastic by the way. all i care about is storage space.

i'm waiting for them to hack the ps3 to the point where i can put windows on it.

Well then I hope your computer stops working, and you can bring it to me at CompUSA. I'll charge you $150 labor to change your RAM for you. And if that doesn't work, I'll just use your own Quick Restore CD on it for another $50. If that doesn't get it, maybe you need a new hard drive. Add another $100 labor for that. After new parts and labor, you'll only be out ~$600.

im not worried about that as your company's in the red.

im always amused when i goto bestbuy, how little the tech's know.

and i can't remember the last time i had an issue with ram going bad.

I remember reading a thread on another forum a few weeks ago about putting Linux on PS3. Not Windows, but still an OS.

i heard something about that. its all x86 so i dont see why it can't be done.

It was a gaming machine, until my Geforce 6200 (Unlocked to 6600) went into my brother's machine so he could play GTA San Andreas. Shortly after Windows XP died out on me and now won't load at all. I'm debating whether to put an AGP Geforce 7600 GT into it, or just upgrade evereything to a new Intel C2D system.
