Lol alright. Which Dayton+box would you go with for tightest sound? HF and sealed?
in my experience, you cant beat them for the money. at least the 1062'sSA-10 is not a SQ sub at all. The Dayton is much better for SQ; the SA-10 would be able to move more air and handle more power.
Infinity subwoofers and speakers are nothing special. Again, the Dayton will sound better. You're not going to get much better sound quality from a sub unless you go Aurasound or a high-end brand such as Scan-Speak, Focal, Seas, etc. Low Xmax on most of those, though, and they're quite expensive.
from what little i know, they are interchangeable, its just different applications. the HF was designed for lower power, and ideal for sealed. will work perfectly fine ported. it was designed for sealed to get low and loud off little power.I'm just a little worried putting the HF in something it's not designed for...
I guess I'll talk to him and see if he prefers the extra box space or extra power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Well, they are cheap, and may be good enough for some people... but they aren't going to match the Dayton in SQ, and most likely not even in air displacement. I bet their Xmax is like 10mm or something similarly unimpressive. And it's probably not even rated in a good way (BL's sqrt(0.5) point) - a lot of car audio companies rate Xmax differently.in my experience, you cant beat them for the money. at least the 1062's
it would be just fine. more power will just make it louder. he might like it just fine off the 400 watts and not have to upgradeHe would be fine with 0.5 cubes. Right now he has a sundown sax 125.2 which is rated at 400 bridged - I take it that it would be unwise to run the sub off this until we find something bigger?
