i hade both ALPINE SWX-1243D 12" TYPE X 3000W and the Pioneer Premier ts5000spl i never tried the Pioneer Premier ts 3000 but i liked the Pioneer Premier way better it was built better and louder ..

no i hade both and i was giving my op.
"Built better and louder" is a comparison. The type-x was designed with SQ in mind, the 5000SPL (and 3000SPL as well) were built to get very loud. Two totally different directions.

OP needs to tell us if he wants sound quality, or SPL... Then a recommendation can be made.
