What sub to get with 500WRMS?

I'd get it but I need a D2.
I might try modifying the box. Ported enclosure get lower then sealed dont they?
Actually no.

Subwoofers lose acoustic suspension (backpressure) below tuning frequency in ported enclosures, at this point they play like like they were in an infinite baffle setup (free air). This does not happen in sealed enclosures, they can play down to 10hz and still provide backpressure to the woofer.

In a sealed enclosure you will notice that your subs sound alot better at lower frequency's then they did in the bandpass configuration.

However, a bandpass enclosure is not a bad thing, its just that careful consideration needs to go into its design in order to gain the full benefits.
