What sub(s) can hit 150+db in trunk under $350

I think 150db in a cav trunk is very doable. I would do a 3 10" setup, with around 1500 watts rms to each sub. Your budget for subs is on the extreme low end. If a 150 is what you want you will need $500-$600 for subs, another $1000 for an amp. That is the easy part. You will need to remove the interior of the car and seal up every place where you will lose pressure (doors, firewall, rear deck). You will need to deaden most surfaces especially large non rigid surfaces like the roof and parts of the floor. Fill in large open areas with expanding foam and cover the openings with a rigid cover. Next you will need an electrical system that will support 5000 watts. 4-6 runs of 0 guage, and at least 2 good auxilary batteries, and eventually a high output alternator. As already stated in this thread the most important part is the install. You will need to build at least 3 boxes, more like 5 in the testing process. the highest i have reached in my 04 cavalier is 144.1 at kick at 43hz. that was not easy to do. however i did pay 350 for the 2 subs in my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif we are on my second box in my car. we really need to build a new one just too lazy.

my system is in sig and all i have is one run of 1/0 (bout to be 2) an optima red top and stock alt.

if i got a much better amp in my car one that actually puts out 2k+ and a ho alt and new box i maybe able to reach 148ish but that is a huge jump but with testing who knows

i just ordered a roll of raamat so once that is in the car i MAYBE able to hit a 145 finally

You box is way to big, and how do you have the subs facing?

Any pics of install?..before my friend had the BTLs, he had 2 CVXs in kicker box and did a 145 with just a Kicker 1200.....and before that he did a 143 with a 15L7 in a sealed box...that thing was mean on the lows

that treo def is an incredible sub...wish i had the power for that monster...thinkin about gettin the Kove version of that bish...bet you can do a 150 with it..maybe not

150 in a trunk car? Most people (I see a lot are in this thread) have no clue how hard that is or how loud that is. This is from our testing done today in my friend's Altima.

A pair of Sundown 1500s on a pair of RF T1 15s tuned to 35hz so it plays music just fine. Yeah thats f'in loud.

I think that I can get my buddy's 15" L5 and zx1500.1 to do a 150 in the kick. We were messing around and doing 147.8 on the termlab tonight. This was without any testing at all (No messing with the box). BTW this is in a grand am.

Yeh...as much as people hate him...TCAB had a couple cars that did 150 with just a single type r 15 and orion 2500....and others to

This is with less power and a cheaper quality (imo) sub. I also built and designed the box

I'll take some soon and make a thread on it. The box is a lot like that tcab box. Long, slender, sub firing into car and 3 4" aero's.
