What should my next car be?

I think you should be asking yourself, "What should my next insurance carrier be"?, because from the way you sound like you drive, you're going to be needing them more...
Lol, there are lots of twisty roads around here, and its nice to open my car up a little bit on them every once in a while. Just because I want something with power, doesnt mean I will be using it every second I am driving. I guess all the old guys that cruise in their Z06s or other fast cars must automatically be driving 180MPH everywhere they go, just because their car can do that, right? No, you all are making stupid assumptions, just trying to troll, which I guess is whats to be expected on this forum. I am trying to get honest answers, and I have seen one, which honestly didnt really meet what I want at all...

Why do people want fast cars at all? Also, mid 14s isnt really that insanely fast to be honest. It is quite slow actually. I just dont wanna be driving around in something that gets walked around by a Ford Focus and there is nothing I can do about it. Do you honestly think all the people in the world that buy cars that are actually decently fast(Z06s, Camaro SS, etc...) only buy them to take to the track and race? No, they dont. I just want something that is quick for daily driving, that I could take to a track or autoX track or something if I wanted to, and that will be good in the winter.
A majority of the people I see here driving those cars either drive old camaros, shitty accords, supras and crap they got for cheap and are like 16-18 year old kids that think that it's "cool", or if they're newer models they're driven by old men having a mid-life crisis.

Because all of the reasons you want to choose a car make no sense or aren't important anymore for someone who's past high school.
LMFAO, now you are just being a lame troll. So, AWD for winter, keyless entry for ease of use, leather/nice interior for comfort, and power/manual for having fun every once in a while isnt what people want? I am guessing everyone just wants RWD with manual locks/windows/seats with a V12 that makes 83 HP, and still manages 3 MPG? Yeah that sounds exactly like what the average person wants.

There's nothing wrong with having a good-handling car as a daily driver.

My point is, when you start talking about being able to "beat" other cars, and are ruling out cars because a lot of people have them in your town, you've gone back to being a teenager. Nobody over the mental age of 20 gives a shit about those things for a street vehicle.

Thats fine with me, not looking to be the fastest thing ever, like I said mid 14s is fine for me. At least the cars I am looking at are practical for daily driving, they get decent mileage, and wont just spin in the winter or rain.
I can afford the supreme gas for my baby doll, after years of experience behind a wheel you learn how to drive in weather. As for those who dont have great control of their bodily functions, leg muscles, and foot pressure they invented traction control. :p

The being able to beat other cars wasnt an absolute priority, but I still want a quick car like I said. As for having the same car, I just wanna be a little more unique than the cars that I see everyday. None of them jump out to me as nice looking or even get a second glance from me, so why would I want a car like that? I dont want something that sticks out like a sore thumb like an EVO or STI, but I dont want a run-of-the-mill Civic SI that I see everyday.

Like I said, I dont want an insane car for a daily driver. The car I have right now is RWD(Thunderbird SC) and it is terrible in the winter, although I have learned to control it. I just dont like having to worry about getting stuck wherever I go, hence me thinking of an MS6 with its AWD.

EDIT: JimJ, May I ask what you drive?

No thanks, too big, bad gas mileage with the v8, too slow with the M90 charged v6, too common, and automatic.
My '02 Camaro Z28 6-speed with a 5.7 liter V8 does the 1/4 mile in 12.9 sec, tops at 165 mph, & gets 34 mpg highway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Thank you for that compliment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I love my new baby lol

Any AWD is gonna handle nicely, but they come with a price. To be honest sounds to me like you should go on craigslist type in the amount to the amount your looking at and see whats available. There are too many options to name...one my all time favorites is the Mercury Sable for what it is, its a great car very reliable, easy to work on, tune up takes an hour tops. I drove that thing through hell man and it ran great up until i got tired and sold it. Good gas mileage too.

Maybe coasting downhill. After I see timeslips, and some sort of proof of that mileage, I CALL TOTAL BS. Also, please explain how you think a RWD with 300+ HP and even more torque, can be remotely good in winter...

My mom had one of those, and my grandma had a Taurus, and they both had nothing but problems with them. Thanks for the tip though, I have been scouring Autotrader/EBay/CL for about 2 weeks now...

I owned one, highly modified, and I honestly prefer my 2010 Dodge Challenger... even though it's a V6.

I get good gas milage, and it breaks necks everywhere I go. Nobody looked twice at the Camaro.

With a MAF mod, cold air intake and aftermarket exhaust the Challenger isn't as fast as the Camaro was by any means, but I show V6 Camaros, Mustangs, and imports my tail lights without an issue.

Did I mention it breaks necks?

Just saw your profile says you're 17. If that's true, just a word of advice. Car payments ****. You said your current car is an old beater but if I were you I would ride that thing out for as long as possible. If I were you I would just save some money up and pay cash for an older vehicle, by older I mean like 2000-2003 ish maybe. Because judging by the type of car you want your insurance is probably going to be pricey and then combine that with the car payments it's going to ****. Just my experience.

Well I had my 02 mercury sable gs for 3 years and my dad had it for the other, 5 years or so. It saw the shop a total of six times. two of them were my fault, the rest is just wear and tear. My experience with most ALL vehicles minus LINCOLNS is keep them up and take care of them. The original a/c in it still runs till this day. Good or Bad Maintenance can be the upkeep or downfall of any vehicle IMO.
