What should my next car be?

Ok, I have an old beat up car right now, but I am getting a new job that will be paying pretty decent, so I wanna get a newer car. I want it to be 2004 or newer, less than 40,000 miles, be pretty quick(1/4 mile around 14.5 or less) be less than around 17,000 dollars, and also be manual. I want something that is luxurious as well as fast. The main car I have been looking at is an 06-07 Mazdaspeed6 Grand Touring. There are none around here, it has heated leather, AWD, 270+hp, and I really like the proximity key, and a few other little features about it. BUT, reading online, I am finding they are pigs, and hard to make decently fast(high 13s). This car will be a DAILY DRIVER, which is why I really dont wanna get an Evo or STI. STIs are also very common around here, so that is basically a no-go. An Evo isnt as comfy or luxurious, and is ugly as dog ***, but they can be made hella fast fairly cheap. A few others I was considering were the Legacy 2.5GT, Mazdaspeed3, Altima SE-R, and VW GTI. GAS MILEAGE IS ALSO IMPORTANT, so no, I dont want a v8 car that gets 14 MPG. This will be a daily car, so comfort and economy is important, but I want it to be able to beat all the Mustang GTs and Camaro RS that are driving around here, or at least keep up. Also, one more important thing, is it must be good in snow

I'm just curious about something. Nothing against you personally just wondering. Why do people want fast cars for daily drivers? The only reason I see for buying a really fast car or something for speed is for racing. You can only go so fast on the road so I really don't see the point unless you plan on being a jackass speeding on the roads and driving like an idiot.

I want to know how you get fast and good gas mileage at the same time?

Why do people want fast cars at all? Also, mid 14s isnt really that insanely fast to be honest. It is quite slow actually. I just dont wanna be driving around in something that gets walked around by a Ford Focus and there is nothing I can do about it. Do you honestly think all the people in the world that buy cars that are actually decently fast(Z06s, Camaro SS, etc...) only buy them to take to the track and race? No, they dont. I just want something that is quick for daily driving, that I could take to a track or autoX track or something if I wanted to, and that will be good in the winter.

You will never beat my z28 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

As for my .02 cents, you sound very picky...pick your own car.
Thats fine with me, not looking to be the fastest thing ever, like I said mid 14s is fine for me. At least the cars I am looking at are practical for daily driving, they get decent mileage, and wont just spin in the winter or rain.
