Hello i have a 4 channel amp and a mono amp and together they need 125amps. Right now i'm running a 80 amp fuse next to the battery on 4 guage power cord. oviously the amps are not getting enough current because every time i turn the music loud the fuse doesn't break but it over heats i guess and my sytem shuts down, then i take the fuse out put it back in and it works, my questions is should i put a 125 amp fuse???? Also what is the max my car can handle on a stock altenator and battery, it's a sunfire gt , i think the max is 120- 125 but i don't know... thanks

Your 4 awg should be good up to 125A, but you would be much better off with 1/0 fused to 250A to a distro then out 4 awg fused to 125A to the amps.

I agree. This is how mine is ran. I have 1/0 to the back, fused at 300A. Then at a distribution block it splits into 2 4 gauge wires. One is fused at 50A, and the other at 120A.

So just to confirm i don't want to spend money on a wire just yet so if i leave the 4 gauge for now would you guys recomend putting 125amp fuse or 150...?

Wire Gauge Recommended - Maximum Fuse Size

00 awg - 400 amps

0 awg - 325 amps

1 awg - 250 amps

2 awg - 200 amps

4 awg - 125 amps

6 awg - 80 amps

8 awg - 50 amps

It would be cheaper, it might be easier to find a place to mount it, and you would have a ton of options if you just do two, 3 slot fuse holders...

My bad, yes, I read them each as having two 4ohm coils. The JBL diagram left a bit to be desired, IMO. ;) And a double yes, thought U was talking...

I plan on getting the fuse to run as a front sub/midbass in my kick panels...I've heard they sound good but you definitely wont get mirror shaking...
