I have been here quite some time longer than you. I know what CA.com is, and I will use it for just that.

WTH are knives being talked about?
Knives are not illegal. (the ones that are are meant to kill) Murder is illegal. In most cases you can easily possess a knife and not get a fine.

vs.

Pot is illegal. You don't have to do anything with it for it to get you into trouble. In most cases you cannot posses any form of marijuana or else you get a fine.

The knife argument, no matter what for, is a terrible counter-example. Man manipulates the metal found in a factory. You plant a seed and the illegal substance grows with little to no help at all. You cannot plant a knife and have it grow to be illegal.....??? A knife is not natural unless it is carved from wood, in which case, it is not illegal.

haha wow, yeah, excuse my ignorance please. That is just as crazy as the marijuana topic then. I had no idea it was illegal to possess knives, thank goodness I never ran into the law with a knife present. Is it something like concealable knives are ok, but after they get a certain size they are illegal? That wouldnt make sense to me because it would be easier to get it into somewhere unwanted.

Yep. More or less that was my room mate too, but I definitely had the opportunity to say hang on let me see who it is. That is a lesson that I have learned without a doubt. From now on, if the person doesn't just walk in, they knock instead, they will be questioned before any entrance is permitted.

Man, I try so hard to keep it simple and stay out of the laws way. I went from smoking everyday for 4 years (less then a half gram) to not smoking at all. I do not see an increase in productivity or intelligence. When I would smoke it would be at night before bed. I would smoke, eat a snack, and fall asleep to some good TV. Now, I sleep terribly, stay up way later than I used too, and have unhealthily lost weight. I really like marijuana, but made the decision to not spend money on it, and to lessen my chances of having any run in with the law. That did not get me anywhere except with a simple possession... That is one reason I feel that I am so against the judicial system for this circumstance: I used to do drugs and never once got in trouble. Now I have stopped and not only am I more tired throughout the days because I don't sleep as good, but I get in trouble with drugs. That is terrible to me. I feel like **** you guys (officer and judge), you don't know anything about the situation nor do you care and nor are you willing to listen. No matter what I present to court I will have a simple possession, or hopefully conditional discharge (which will be fine) when I havent smoked in about a year now.
