What a considerate Judicial System

Either way, you should not feel violated. Whether you were smoking or not. You were at a place where illegal drugs were being used, The cop did not know who was smoking and who was not. You made a bad decision, and when you make that decision be sure you are prepared to accept the consequences.
Bad decision to be placed with this room mate by random choice? Or to live in the house that I pay for? Should I call the cops on him every time he smokes? Or just everyday and **** his life up? I don't particularly agree with your statement. Also, I accept the consequences. I just truly think that they are extremely harsh. Pot is not as harmful as alcohol, it is not worse than stealing, and it is not worse than battery. Why are the penalties worse?

ill make you feel violated!

ps i wouldnt be taken the fall for them smoken ish... plead insanity
I would like to get out of it, but like everyone said and seems to believe as true, it was in my house. It was close to me because I was by the end table it was sitting on. To the officer it looked like mine, I told him it was not and no one else claimed it. Therefore it was EVERYONE's but only me and the roomy were charged.

This.

I dont smoke. It was the room mates.
EDIT: When I did smoke, my mom did not appreciate it.

Double Edit: Even if it were mine and I did smoke, you think a license suspension for six months is reasonable? Along with the fine and a criminal record??? For a first time offender???
Is the license suspension, fine and record going to keep you from letting this happen again ? If so then i think its worth it, if not, then i think they need to find more things to tack on.

Using your logic. Me and you walk up to snoopdan, i pull out a .45 and shoot him in the head. Since you didnt pull the trigger, even though you were there, you would be innocent by your logic. You knew the pot was there, and you stayed and/or allowed the pot the be smoked, regardless of whether you smoked it or not, you are guilty.

There are a lot of things you could have done. Report him to the landlords and get him kicked out. Tell him to keep his stuff hidden, it is really a dumb idea to have bongs laying around in plain sight.

I'm not buying the innocence that you are portraying. Maybe marijuana is less harmful than alcohol, I don't know, but it is illegal and that needs to be respected.

No one in human history has died from marijauna. The goverment has banned it and made it illegal because they can't tax it.

That is an ignorant statement in my opinion. Just because no one has died doesnt mean that no one has been harmed. People get shot or whatever selling the ish everyday. The government could easily tax it. Just like cigarettes and alcohol. But just like cigs and alcohol, people can obviously make it themselves anyway so the government would then be growing weed anyway.

lameazz potheads and your remarks...u have no backing evidence of anything. The only thing that has been tested throughly enough that isnt legalized and for good reasons is LSD.

im gonna go snort a line brb

My complaint is that rather than giving community service, maybe a few drug tests if they really want, and small things that help the community for my drug charge, why do they make the people pay a good amount of money as well as suspend the license for 6 months, and give a criminal record which keeps me from getting a job that I am lined up for. Its like stealing money and then keeping me from being productive. I need a license to get to and from community services, I need a license to visit my mother, I need a license to work... All these things that keep society moving they have disabled me from because I had a small amount of a drug.
As far as the stolen credit card goes, I guess its good that they investigate and everything, but if a credit card has been reported stolen, most of the time, it is canceled and through the company you can get your money back, you get a new card, and nothing bad happens.... If i had a canceled credit card and a police officer called and said hey we found the guy that was using your card.... How does that help me? Ok, good, now **** his life up. **** he would probably get lesser penalties than I with possession of pot that wasnt mine. I just dont get satisfaction from knowing who stole my credit card. It is credit, it can be replaced if you are smart and monitor your funds so you can prove that a card was stolen. I do no rely on police to handle my problems for the most part. Police tend to only want to help themselves.

I pretty much said everything. The cop was nice. We had alcohol and were not 21, he did not give us a ticket for that, nor did he take us to jail which he said was a possibility. The cop also said since we were so cooperative that he would sign off of any program that would help better our lives.... True story: less than a gram of pot, a bong, and some beers. We were playing rummy with about 8 people watching 8 mile... thats it. I dont smoke, im not paranoid, just frustrated with the penalties for my crime.

BTW johnny will you reply to my quote and questions?
Im not here to validate anti-drug laws. The point is, the cops followed procedure in accordance with protecting the public safety. Your friend, as legit as his mistake may have been, offered up a CC number that was reported stolen, and if the cops had done anything other than investigate, I would be upset. Perhaps you could make the claim you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, but blaming our judicial system for that, is just immature.

Well that happened because his parents credit card was reported stolen about a year ago. They changed the last 4 digits and the security code on the back. My room mate used the one that was reported stolen on accident. He has them memorized and recited the old stolen numbers.
Irrelevant to the point at hand. Isn't it?

I really don't understand your problem. You chose to live with someone who does illegal drugs and to be around it. Nobody forced you to be out there while people were smoking weed. Sounds to me like you just don't want to accept the consequences of your actions. You should be happy where you live has such harsh punishments on illegal drug users. Punishments are supposed to be a deterrent for crimes. If all they did was give you a $50 fine people wouldn't learn there lesson. The punishment did it's job. Sounds like you need to man up and mature.
