honda pilot...they get good milage and are reliable...possibly the element as well:)
the old pilots are isuzus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I'd get a 4runner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I made this same search awhile back and it's 4Runners FTW.... couple probs tho

90-95, cheaper, good looking etc. but the 3.0L V6 is a dog and it's not audio friendly, ohh and driver space is not big...

96+ jumps price from ~6000 to ~10000. Space issue resovled (floor drops 2"), stock locations for speakers in doors (I think), 3.4L V6 isn't nicknamed 3.Slow.... all around better SUV, but way more expensive...

both have uber reliability and resale value (my 95 cost me 5,350 with 150k on the odo... he did even clean the **** thing...)

Talons have really shitty motors, throw rods and bearings like crazy, not well built at all. From what I have seen here. The repair bills are pretty pennies too, And I have seen they break down lots...

So do you think the durango would be better in the long run?

Pay a few bucks and get a subscription to consumer reports website. Then you can look at reliability reports and such on SUV's... for the long run I think I'd skip both... especially since the Durango's value will plummit quickly... also avoid Jeep's in that year range, they are a world of trouble... Exploders are ok but the cheap interior and bland exterior ****. Maybe a GM or the toyota //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Im not looking at any other vehicles, either a talon or a durango, not a 4-runner or anything else. I am asking about 2 vehicles, and which would be better out of THOSE TWO choices.

1995-1998 Eagle Talon

or

1998-2000 Dodge Durango

Get an early 90's Dodge Dakota single cab pickup with a 5spd and a 4 cylinder engine. ~$5000 is the most you will pay for a MINT specimine. They go for $600 around here, decent shape.

Fab on the biggest alternator money can buy. Throw a bunch of deep cycles under the hood. (THeres room, my little brother can climb under the hood of my dad's 4cyl dakota and I can shut the hood.)

Build a blow-through bandpass box in the bed, dump the port into the cab... With your 4 12" XXX idea=hair trick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wanna buy mine? J/K but only had one major problem with mine. The ****** went at 50,000miles. Dodge isn't known for having the strongest trannys but it was covered under warranty so it wasn't a probelm. Gas mileage is terrible especially when there is heavy audio equipment in there. I get 8mpg around town. Durangos are very solid trucks. I got rear ended a few months back and even though my car was messed up it was nothing compared to the RX 300 that hit me. His car was totalled. Durangos are much larger than any S-series suv. I have a blazer for a daily driver and there isn't much cargo room. Let me know if you have any more questions about them.
