6000 watts , can you even find an alt big enough for that? if you seal it your loosing loudness and just wasting 400$+ per sub and 350+ per amp, if you cut it down to 2 12s in a ported box and 2 amps you will save 1500$+, in my book and mostly anybodies thats a lot of money and it will be loud as crap, my 15 XXX is crazy loud, i prolly wont be upgrading anytime within the next few months ...until the new ones come out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

that car will need so many things done to it if yopu get 4 12s and 6000 watts its not even funny

yes I could provide amperage, a Stinger power2 dB bat, and a a 300 amp alt from excessive amperage.

I am not planning on sealing it, PERIOD. I hate sealed. I was planning ported, 8.5 cubic feet (at least) box, tuned to 33 hz.

Well, shit. Here I am again, trying to decide, because I finally can acually start saving for a down payment on a new car.

I have changed one thing tho, and thats that I dont really care about speed anymore. Anything faster then my car right now is fine. (which is 0-60 in about 16 sec, lol)

Now im looking at which will last longer, have less trouble. I will take care of it (the regular maitenence stuff). The DSM's are fairly un-reliable. My dad has a 2001 dodge ram, and its still running strong. Although the engine in the durango isnt real fast, is it reliable? I dont even really care if its the 5.9 l engine.

What I am looking at now, is what will last me longer, and be cheaper in the LONG RUN. Talon's are high-maintenece. Durango's would be a ton of money in gas. (I would commute 50 miles per day (round trip), 5 days a week, which isnt too much, but still quite bad).

The durango is really weighing on my now because of all the cargo room with the 3rd row seat out.

Given what I have said, what do you think now?

my friends mom bought a 1998 durango and it has been nothing but trouble. first of all they had a recall cuz the lugnuts were falling off. and in the 1 year shes owned it its stalled on the freeway 4 or 5 times.

I've got a 98 ram with the 5.9/360. Not one problem with engine. You could do a couple of mods to gain some ponys. V8 can burn some petro though. Have a friend that has a late 90's durango. She hasn't had any problems with her ride. i Guess it all comes down to your pref. I'm a truck/suv guy though.

If you want less trouble. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get a Chrylser product. Especially a Dodge. (Yes I own one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif )

First off your gay and an idiot...

the 5.9s are nothing but a sales gimic for DSM, ud be better off with thier V6 motor, very spacious though.

As far as the Talon, sure its fast... but whats the point if your throwin a couple hundred pounds of system in there?

My pick, would be a 3rd gen GM S-series 4dr SUV. MPG would probly be closer to the Talon with the space of the Durango. And has plenty of get up and go with the 4.3 V6. Plus if your shootin for 150db, this is an easy vehical to do so in.

It's really easy to do 150+ in any vehicle. As long as you know what you're doing...
nG
but he doesnt, which leads me to my idiot comment...

This fool thinks he is gonna get 4 XXXs with a mount depth of 13" firing up in an eagle talon... And have their rec box size of 3 cubes each, which is what 12cubic ft with out takin in account the cubic foot the subs will take up and the 2+ ft^c the port will take up...

You f*ckin clown shoes man...

Maybe I should have done a new thread.

FORGET WHAT I SAID AT THE BEGGINING OF THE THREAD.

I am not even planning to do 4 XXX's anymore, but something. Theres no way I would be able to afford that, that was all just for fun.

I only want somehting that has some room for a system, but what im looking at now is the one that will be more reliable, better in the LONG RUN!
