Line output converter differences?

Going to help a freind put some skar sdr 12s on 12-1500w in a 18’ mustang.
Does the choice of line out converter matter? Like is getting an lc2i worth the extra money? Or does a cheap converter do mostly the same thing?
Everything matters, the system is only as good as the weakest link. AudioControl make some of the best LOC's on the market. If you get amplifier that takes hi-level inputs, you may not even need an LOC. Many decent monoblocks have built in hi-level in for speaker level use.

Get these while they last, 1800 watt amp fromn stinger for $169.00, use Brandy10 and get anadditanl 10% off, killer deal for a great 1800 watt amp, has power/pro/clip warning light, remote knob, great amp!

that stinger does not take hi level in. This little guy ($16.99) is a clean and really good budget LOC that takes your speaker leads, converts them to low level and also uses the speaker lead voltage to create a remote turn on for the amp so you don;t have to find one from the head unit.

So is the Lc2 or the kicker the move? Goal will be to save money so maybe the kicker?

If all you need is to hook an amp to a stock HU and add a sub, the kicker will do that just fine. Used it in my grandsons car, worked great and it will handle up to 55 watt Oem speaker outputs too. Great little unit.

Yes it matters. And unfortunately, you can't judge a book by its cover. Years ago I used a LOC from David Navone Engineering (remember him?) that was advertised as the best LOC in the world. It worked, but at 40 Hz it was horribly distorted. I wish I could find the 'scope trace pic that I took but it seems to be missing. In the future, I'll pick the expensive ones. Just FYI to the community.

Try to get the more expensive LOC. They give you the better performances. $140 dollar LOC is probably the price range you want to get the best out of your setup. It works better than the cheaper ones LOC.
