ok just curious, if you run more power to a sub, would that help it "respond" better, thus have more sound quality, if you turned it down? i guess the gain would be turned down or somethin

Im just wondering because sometimes my system cuts out (when up loud, and hitting a big bass note). Kinda like a cd skip, where the whole system just cuts and goes silent for a split second.

I have a jl w12 or something. Can the sub just not handle being pushed that loud? Is it being pushed past its excusion rating? or is there not enough power in the system so it cuts out?

Ask your sister, she comes over every year on my birthday, I piss on her face and bone her ass inside-out.

The X is a great sub if you have the money for it and the amp needed to power it. For most people the Type R is the better choice. You can run a pair of R's on the same amp it takes to power 1 X properly. In the right ported box, though the single X will be way more impressive, just as loud and way cleaner. I've had lots of experience with both at work so I do know what I'm talking about as well as having owned both.

At work ive built many boxes and set-ups for Type R's and type X's and imo the type X is a better all around sub then the type R in SQ and low end. Yes the type R is good and is cheap and can get loud but that has nothing to do with anything. it seems most people say well the "R" can get loud and its cheap????? does that mean its great? NO. there both good subs but in my opinion the type X is better. Im sure you can build a "magic" or "one note wonder" box for a type R that can kill a type X or any sub for that matter but im talking in the real world and under real world circumstances.
