I don't usually comment on post like this but the Vfl 4480 will put out 2k at 1 ohm the vfl12.1 does more power at higher ohm loads than the Vfl 4480 which could easily made it louder on a burp which is where box rise is very apparent. The Vfl 12.1 also does more power at lower on loads due to the beefier power supply.Get over it. Other people read these post. Do you want them reading about some tool that's a clueless fucktard? I don't
how can 2 amps make the same power at 1 ohm but not 4 ohm or .5 that's simple power production is not linear due to efficiency and heat related resistance added to the internal components.
It was said that these amps borrow some design from the Brazilian designs and that is somewhat correct just as the Rockford per amps are similar but not the same. Fuse ratings can differ on more than just Brazilian designs, just look an zed amps they don't rate the Kronos a 100 amps but it will make 1000w easy. Yet these amps are not small just efficient.
Now you can rant all you want and be bias to whatever company but I've installed quite a bit of these amps for buddies and have yet to have problems. I'm no dealer nor do I make profit off of anything American bass.
Most of the time I use a kn 1/0 dual amp kit which provides plenty of current capacity while using a short 4 awg to feed the amp
