That sucks man, that 2400 doesnt sit well in the stock spot, I still havnt figured out a good way to hold down a battery. Keep up the work, we need some loud HHR's! I will have mine done for the weekend

lol i know i am fukin strappin mine down (u will know what i am talkin bout) in the wheel well in the front using bunjee cords on the child seat restaints. i am doing spl comp on 18th. we will see how well the hhr does. my first comp.

YES! they insisted on fixing the problem and offered to build me a free battery restraint. i was like nah... i got this under control....OMG I LEFT OUT THE BEST PART!!

They have never heard of RE or US AMPS!!! they kept rambling on about JL products. i was like... i am sorry but my 12" REs will blow away you jls lol!

If you take out the spare tire you can easily fit 3 2400s in the well.

But most importantly.

DO NOT sit your box upright like that.

subs up ports back.

gauruntee 6db higher with subs up ports back with ports 4" away from the hatch as opposed to facing forward like in the photo.

If you wanna wall you have design the box completely different.

HHRs are good loading vehicles and use the entire interior space very well.

Do you see that area on the inside of the rear hatch glass? That helps load the port and match port air resistance to the cabin of the car.

I am leaving for finals tomorrow. After I get back I will post pics of my box and 8 Power Master battery rack.

thanks ed as always. YES I MADE IT and i am wore out. its 11:11 pm right now.... i didnt finish everything. all i got left is .... strapping the amps together and running power to the amps... about 30 minutes of work. i cant do it tonight

i have it up front because of the **** battery wiring....main batts in back, none in front, once i am done wiring it will go in back

looks good I wish I would have made my 1st box sub up port back, nice job taking out the stupid storage compartment

plenty of time left, I also remounted my subs which are a pain doing sideways at 70 lbs each, I just need 4 connections and Im ready to go for finals this weekend

edit: arnt those terminals great for using with the stock connectors
