The Sub that is best or besy fit???

I am in kind of a dilemna with my subs. I want to go with the "best" possible Sub I can afford right now..but is there such a thing as overkill?

I am going to get ID subs, SOON!(within a week)..I am running 250X1 ARC Amps at "each" sub..But If I go with the IDQ12's will I notice an immense better quality sound than the ID12's when I only have 250 watts right now anyways.

In other words..the ID12's fit my specifications and power alot better and are a little cheaper. But one voice in my head says "NO..Get the IDQ12's(350RMS) THEY ARE THE SHIT"..

The other voice says "JUST GET THE ID12's (250RMS) It fits your scenario better and you ain't pumpin that much juice anyways.

Do you think with this amp set up I will noitice a diffrence between IDQ to the ID's???

I guess this question applies to "ALL" Speaker purchases..

Well, the theoretical difference between 250w & 350w on the IDQ's is about .9db.......getting close to an inaudible difference. Also, power handling is box dependent.....so even though they are rated 350w RMS (the IDQ's), when you put them in the box 250w may be enough to push them to their full potential.

So, my vote goes to the IDQs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks squeak..you know another issue I have that can be fixed???but why. is that the Box I am going to use has .85 cubic ft airspace...The IDQ 12 sub reccomends exactly .85 for "optimum" performance in a sealed box.

The ID needs alot less..I think it's .75 max

Fill a bucket with water... put your sub in it.... measure the difference and heigh, and calculate your volume //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/titanic.gif.8089b7552c370bcc138aa121756d0c0b.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Cool..thanks.. you guys still think the IDQ would be "better overall" even if it's underpowered by 100 watts..also I could easily upgrade amps soon. I just do not want to run into that situation of TOO much sub right now..I see alot of Testemonial about this being a non-issue..But the inside of the truck is small and I do not want to drown out the Seperates with too much BASS..This has turned into an SQ set up and I do not want to deviate..Some have suggested 2 10's instead of the 2 12's but I disagree?

Depression....look into the Arc 12's- they were just redesigned- they are very much like the IDQ's-fast hitting, get low and are pretty loud- My two 12's will be in next thursday- you'd be surprised how terribly inexpensive they were.....
