Yes, I read that post and that thread.

He doesn't say the new XXX will have 100mm Xmax.

He said we may see a sub with 100mm Xmax.

Everything I've ever seen him post specifically regarding the "new" sub or the "new" XXX, he has stated that it has close to 5" P2P, which would be closer to 60mm one-way.

last i recall, like jack\squeak said, the parthenon can do 6" and more of xmax. actually, i recall a post made by eaither dan w. or steve k. saying that it is totally upon request driver, (iirc the neighborhood of $5~7k) and can basically do whatever you want. if you wanted 8" one way, im sure they could prolly squeeze it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

imo, the parthenon wins this "battle" because its BEEN made, even though its not a 'production sub'

You mean the XMX ? That's been out for quite a while now.

Not that I really care if you "know more" about RE than me, as I don't really give a flying **** one way or the other how much either of us know about RE. I was just pointing out that I've yet to see David post anywhere specifically about the new XXX having 100mm of one-way linear motion, and you'd yet to post any info that showed where he did.

Just for the record, the XMech on the Parthenon motor was stated as being 159mm, one way.
