sub stops working

well if the amp isnt in protection mode, just check all the wires to the subs. Outside the box, and inside too, and including on the sub itself. At the same time with the sub out check the voice coild for burnt marks and see if the spider/tinsels are attached.

If the amp is off, check the connections on the amp (power and ground) and underneath the hood (power and ground). Something may have come loose.
He already said that it powers up. Please read the entire post to make sure you are up to date. This way, you don't look like an idiot, and I don't look like an *** for telling you this.

I think I found the problem, part of my 16ga wire is burnt. Right where the butt splice connects to the terminal cup inside the box. Why?

Well if YOU read the post clearly, he says "It cuts out". Meaning there may be a loose connection or a faulty ground spot. So if you read the post clearly, I wouldn't have to post this making me seem like an ***, and you seem like an idiot.
