Sub sounds like its rattling or burping? (Video)

Here is the free air you can still kinda hear that noise. Now I played the test tone 32hz both free air and in box. I have a lot of air leaks I'm going to seal those up but around my subs rubber seal are about 3 leaks. How can I like put a special silicone seal that won't seal my sub to the box?

you'd need to replaced the frt of the box for that .you might wanna try to look at the bottom of the coil to see if there is any issues there to. have a friend push up on the woofer while you take a look at it as best you can . something still sounds weird tho.i'd also pop the coils separately with a small battery to make sure they are in phase correctly too.

So much bad advice on this thread. That horrible noise in the first video is your poorly built box. Sub outside the box would be buzzing if it where mechanical issue with the woofer. Off chance you were bottoming it out in the first video, but it pretty much sounded like **** on every note so my suspect is the box. If coils were out of phase it wouldn't move at all.

Free air sounds like normal mechanical noises, with sub in box you shouldn't notice that.

i suggested the box in one of the first replies.cuz i thought it sounded like bottoming out too.but as you know that will cause damage to the voice coil too and can cause the coil to unravel .he's had a bunch of guys telling him to check the coils but no one has said to pop them to make sure that they are still in phase from the sub itself.i still also think its a bad box and too small of a port for the sub.personally.

I will go pop them now so I connect a let's say D or C battery to the negative / positive post and see how each side reacts? As a test could I put like maybe weather stripping around the hole for the sub? It's pretty hard to just pull the top off like its sealed down to my box

Resealing box at every last spot. And putting weather stripping around my baffle. I'll test it again after its done drying. Now when you say poorly built box... Which it is lol do you mean like space wise it's screwed? Or air leaks?

Not build to spec, not sealed correctly, incorrect measurements, bad cuts.

Ok so now I have to ask if my sub needs 2.5 cubic feet and I want a port tuned to 36hz the box would be 36" by 15" by 11" can anyone direct me to a proper set up?

I'm a legal medical card holder all Good in the mitten state. Anyway sealed that box up and sounds a **** ton better I pretty much don't hear any of that sound at all I'm going to let the rest of the seals dry, reinstall, and get another video!
