Sub(s) For a SQ3500

I have all the do prices and the lvl 5. 18 is well over $600
Yeah I thought so. I think my options right now for 18s are: Skar ZVX (I know where a motor and basket are and could recone), Fi SP4, Sundown ZV4, any some more. For 15s, I could do like Sundown X's (I like my music between 32-39 and would have to be used), Fi BL (used), and some more that I can't think of as of now.

What is the running price on those new? Also thought of a HDC418
700 ish. Well worth... You can also go to DC audio FTW page on facebook. They pop up eventually. You can also go on caco, there's a few level 6 18s for sale around 550 dollars right now which would be ridiculously good to get louder.

Despite the loss of cone area, would it be better than XFLs because of the caliber of the sub?

You'll need lots more power for a lvl 6. Your amp will barely tickle one also the m3 versions have bigger spiders and better cooling than the m2 or m1 which means the subs will last longer for daily music than the ones before

My buddy is doing a 150+ on a single team fi 18 on a audiopipe 2k at half ohm so I would hope so if I get the right woofer and power.

There is no flexibility in a 600 dollar budget? You'll wind up with something used then, or something with a 3" coil. I'd spurge and buy something that'll handle 3k rms.
I would not like to go over 600 persay. I am not old enough to have a steady income and I am still paying for college fees as well.

Xfls are decent woofers. I still wanna see some ppl try the American intense model. Looks nice
I would try them, but I am trying to find a brand that gives actual specs to woofers, not just pictures. I want to try SAS as well.

A level 6 18 will outright destroy the two XFLs. Even on half power (2 ohms nominal), my dc level 5 18s are still louder than my hdc3s overpowered(1 ohm nominal) so I can only imagine what a 120lb beast like a level 6 can do. Keep in mind level 6 subs are worth 1k new. I love the SQ and loudness of the Zcon but in terms of loudness and shear spl power(still sounds decent) the DC motors are very strong.

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

One or two, they are still subwoofer outs and are mono summed signals from both left and right. Even the 2 RCA subwoofer pre-outs on the 2nd one...
