Sub placement for SQ?

back wave as in rearwave or aa in cancallation from multipul waves? yea its ideal to seal it off but placing in at the very opening usually lowers it greatly..
I would like to see these SQ builds like you are suggesting. I don't think I ever have. Everyone must be doing it wrong

A bigger concern than placement is controlling and attenuating exhaust and tire noise from the rear, plus any audible rattles and resonances. Depending on the vehicle this may be a very big challenge.

Literally just experiment. If its a hatchback. It really doesnt matter how you face it. its . its gonna be loud as heck. face it one way, listen to a song. face it another way listen to the same song. what feels louder.

jeez. how hard is this.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
