sub intensity

I am curious if there is a way to add sub intensity without adding more volume. On some music, my 10 hits as hard as I could ever want, but other songs it seems lacking. It is very musical and gets plenty loud, but doesn't seem to have the all-around impact that my Solobaric's did. Is this a major difference between sq woofers and sql? Would more wattage to my sub help? I am currently underpowering it a bit. Thanks guys.

i think i know what you mean? i had a similar feeling months ago, some songs kick, some songs nope? what i figured in the end was the voltage on the rca out is variavle (not constant) so at lower levels there is only a small signal going to the sub amp.i purchased a line driver on ebay, problem solved, even at lower volumes my sub amp gets a strong signal the only thing i ever have to do iS turn the bass DOWN.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif several people have told me this is not right but it works for me:veryhapp:

yeah, I tried that because my amp has an adjustable input gain amplification section (like a line driver, but at the end) prior to the output gain and it mostly just made the subs majorly loud.

maybe try adjusting your settings so everything is set to 'flat' then adjust amps to set tonal balance.if you got bass boost and stuff all cranked it will effect 'badly' your sq?

yeah, I mean to get the impact/thump- I also get a ton of bass in the 80-120hz range and it sounds...not muddy but just effin loud. I'm talking about intensity at lower volumes, with it cranked everything if fine.

if your sub is xed over @ 63 hz there shouldnt be any output above about 70??
