Sub hits the seat.. ok?

Just finshed up building a sealed box for my friends 86 K-10.. the space behind the back seat is so small that to fix the sub (10" L5) and the thickness of the box the sub has to hit the seat. It's not touching the seat when not pumping but its really close and when it plays it kind of slaps the back of his bench seat (vinyl) it sounds quiter but still good.. is this damaging the sub?

If tha seat keeps tha sub from moving it can be considers 'destructive interference' & is very bad for a subwoofer..

It's like trying to hold it down while it's playing..
