ported or sealed on a mtx 9500 15in. for a 99 cavalier

hmm...Im looking into buying a 15" 9500, anyways I have a 12" 9500 in a 2ft^3 box right now and imo I think 2ft^3 is a little small for the 12"....so I would go alot bigger than 2.5 for a 15"

Im thinkin about doin 5@32 for mine with 1400wrms, box might be a little big for a 9500 but it will only be that much more efficient

i fit a 15" mag in my 97 cavalier with a 3.5 cu ft box, of course i ported out the bottom of the box into the spare tirewell with 6 4" pvc tubes (firing towards back of trunk) it will work, but you have to get creative... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif

well i knew i was going to have problems fitting it in there so i was thinking about doing an slanted front baffle. so like /___| slanted enough to have it fit but not to slanted to have the magnet hit the bottom of the box.

are you talking slanted firing into the cabin? if so good luck.... you have to seal it all off around the box so that there is no cancelation. my box for 2 12's is straight up and down, and with some great stuff, fiberglass, and carpet its a perfect match to the cavalier baffle when the seat folds down, looks real good, only problem is the box is permanent....

ive done a 4 cu ft gross ported box for a cav, i think it was 15.5 high, the rest i forget

cavaliers suckkkkkk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif not gonna be easy fitting a 15" sub in that trunk. Not easy at ALL. You have about 16" of room top to bottom and so if your baffle is 15" then the 1.5 for the top and bottom thats 16.5" and a really really tight fit for both the sub and box. Id just go with twelves

Oh yeah! 17h and 35w if you cut out a bit behind your backseat and kick the box in! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

If you just cut everything out you can get a good amount of space. I know I can get over 6^3 but then I would have no room for amps. But I decided I dont care for my backseat anymore so thats where my amp will be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
