How does this happen?

6 screws held the basket to the motor, no CA glue between motor and basket.

2 of these screws were the correct size, and 4 of the screws did not even thread into the motor because they are too small.

^^ See the size difference.

When the sub was removed from the box, only 1 screw was holding the sub together (one of the bigger screws).

Is the lack of (correct size, fitting) screws the reason this sub came apart?

*** Checks pm's quickly *** woo hoo not me lol, I'm usually not a fan of putting ca glue on baskets to hold them on, and I have bought screws that were slightly off before..... but not to the point that only 1 screw was holding it t/g lol.

Hope it gets worked out man

Neither am I, I just said that because I own a few motors with CA glue on them (so I know it's done sometimes) and I wanted to emphasize that the 2 screws were holding it together.

Thanks, I hope it does too.
