Sub cutting in and out.. Amp problem???

I have had a 15" L7 and a Kenwood X-811d amp for about 2 1/2 months.. I have never had a problem until three days ago... It was the first really cold morning where I live (32 degrees) and my amp wouldnt put out any power.. The amp was on but just no current running through it, and it was still receiving 14.4V .. I got in my vehicle after school and it worked fine... The next day it was fine.. This morning it cut off for a little bit but came back on...

Today when I left school it cut off and stayed off for 15 minutes.. The power is still going to the amp, and the amp is on, but there just isnt but like 2amps current running through it.. I checked my connections, fuses, and everything else I could think of... I am guessing it has to be the amp.. It still has a warranty on it.. Any other ideas?????

Summary:

Amp is getting power but apparently not putting any out.. Sub and connections appear fine..

Did you set your gain properly? Possibly it is running too hard and is going into protection?

My gain was supposedly set properly by the installers.. It is not that I am running the amp too hard, because it will stop pumping power at any volume... I had the volume on like 20/61 listening to it, and it still stopped...
