I've decided to replaced my 2001 jeep wrangler factory subwoofer again. (Previous setup was a JL6.5 and a sony mono amp, ran pretty okay.) I purchased a kicker CVT65 that handles 150 watts RMS at 4 OHM. I paired it with a kicker ZX300.1 that pushes 300 watts RMS at 2 OHM. The factory box is sealed and small enough to almost exactly match the rec'd enclosure specs. I hooked it up today and i am getting lots of pops and crackles as I turn the volume up.
I've checked and rechecked all of my connections and wiring placement. I have my crossovers adjusted correctly and gain set just below half. It sounds like the problem is caused by a simple lack of power, but the sub and amp should pair up nicely. Any ideas.............?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
