I had a year+ still left on my Sprint contract, but got switched over.

All it takes is someone at retentions that is willing to go the extra mile for you. If you're kind enough, and persistent enough, it can happen.

It also helps if your account is in good standing- I've never had a late payment, been a Nextel/Sprint customer for ~5 years, and am eligible for 5 additional lines on my account, so they seem to always take care of me when I need something.

htc phones are very nice, i am planning on upgrading from my razr to a tilt aka kaiser next week if i can get my upgrade next week, since it said i could monday but now it says i can't.

Anyways, I called and ended up being on the phone with sprint for an hour and 20 minutes... no exaggeration. Finally found out that it wouldn't let me because I had an outstanding balance on my account... which I didn't know because I never received any bills. Sucks. I just paid it off in full though. I asked her if I could sign up for the plan now that I paid off my balance and she said that I would have to do it in the store because there is now some sort of hold on my old sprint account. Oh well.. I'll probably just go all out and get the htc touch while i'm at it

Yes, unlimited data/internet is included in the SERO plans.

As far as doing it in the store, if it's a retail location, half of them don't even know what SERO is, and the ones that do know, will most likely tell you it's impossible for them to sign you up for it.

I think talking to Retentions is your best bet. Are you a current Sprint customer?

Also, I've heard some of the people at retentions will tell you they can't put you on SERO, but can set you up on a plan that is just about identical to the SERO plan.
