Sprint Sero Plan open signup

wat
I have mentioned this before, and I figured I could post about it to see if there is any interest in it. The Sero program is family/friends for Sprint, but it has lately been opened to anyone who wishes to signup. Visit sprint.com/sero and use savings@sprintemi.com to view the phones and plans available. The deals are good because the plans have Power Vision included. Look on Slickdeals or HoFo if you have any questions, they have a few hundred pages about the package and how you can get the phones for free as well.

After 2 days of calling both Sprint CS and the Retentions dept., I finally got someone on the phone that hooked me up. I've been a customer of Sprint/Nextel for over 4 years now, and was under contract with Sprint for another year and 4 months on my current plan.

After talking with someone from retentions, he hooked me up- put me on the Sero plan, which includes:

* Unlimited Nights & Weekends starting at 7pm!

* Domestic long distance

* Unlimited Mobile to Mobile

* Unlimited Web/Data Access

* Unlimited Picture Mail (with compatible devices)

Also got unlimited text messages, all for $30/month. Got insurance added for $7/month as well.

At first he wasn't able to get me a deal on a new phone though, said I'd have to wait till November till I qualify for the $75 discount. After asking him if he could do anything a couple times, he came back and said he can do the Moto Q ($449.99) for $249.99 now, plus a $100 MIR, for $149.99 total, so I went ahead and ordered that.

The guy was really cool, and I was straight up with him. I called originally to ask what I can do about transferring my plan to someone else, and when he asked why, I told him my bill is too expensive ($75/month) for what I'm getting, and that I was interested in the Sero, but I didn't qualify, so I was going to look into Verizon after getting someone to take over my contract. After speaking to his supervisor a few times, he hooked me up.

Just an update, got the phone Monday night, and am pretty happy with it thus far.

It's gotten a lot of mixed reviews, but I've been pleased with it. I've added a bunch of 3rd party apps, and picked up a 2gig MiniSD from NewEgg for $25. Phone is pretty versatile, and can be tweaked quite easily- also has a lot of add-on programs readily available.

I've sent out the $100 MIR, as well as a $75MIR that I came across that is being offered by Kelloggs through Sprint. I've also sent an email to Sprint inquiring about a $50 credit that I came across, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting that credited to my account, which would bring the phone total down to $25, after the $175 in rebates, and $50 credit.

$25 for a smartphone sounds like a pretty **** good deal to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so i would be able to sign up for this if i cancelled my cingular account and get the special deals?

would my family be able to get on it too for these prices..because i know were getting assraped by cingular

You should be able to, as long as you qualify. Some people have mentioned being asked for a deposit as their credit isn't up to par. My account is approved for 5 lines, however.

Go for it.

To follow up on my last post, they responded to my email and credited me $50 on my account. So the phone cost $250 after the discount that I politely asked for, plus the $100 MIR and $75 MIR, plus the $50 credit...which brings the phone total down to $25. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

anyone know if the sero plans can be combined with a corporate discount? in this case my frito lay discount which i think is 20-25%
From what I've heard it's pretty much YMMV. Some people get it, some don't- guess it depends on whether or not you speak to a CSR that is willing to help you out.

i got sero plan with sprint, with m,ysprint mogul ppc. Tell u the truth the plans are great but sprint absolutely sucks. They messed up my first bill and it took me a total of 5 hours on the phone to get my bill straight. So if you sign up for Sero be sure to make sure your bill is straight otherwise resolving issues will be a task.

I've had success emailing e-care. They've taken care of a couple things for me thus far. I was a little upset that the idiot CSR that I spoke to didn't remove my text messaging plan as I requested- I even made it a point to triple check that my text messaging was removed, and that my plan did in fact include free unlimited text messages, but he apparently didn't remove the text plan.

BTW- how is the Mogul? My g/f wants one and I was thinking about picking up one for her.

well that was the issue i had with sprint they charged me for evewry single text i used which cme up to around 300 so odd dollars. I had people from sprint telling me that unlimited text was not part of my sero plan and so on. But i finally got through with a guy who knew what he was talking about and fixed my bill and i didnt have to pay anything this month. yippy

The mogul is pretty fun for anybody who likes computers and hacking, there are so many apps and hacks for this phone its not even funny. Most people who need a friendly user phone such as the iphone shouldnt invest in this phone.But imo this phone pwwns any phone sprint offers at the time
