Soundqubed hds212.. ****

My buddy has two hdc4 12s in 4.25cubes on a aq3500 and it hammers highs and lows. I'm gunna have to take a video.... It's all in the install.

Hdc4 has a lot stronger motor and with the stiff suspension sq likes to use the hdc4 has a lot more play with the cone then the much weaker hds2 motor.

I realize i failed to respond to a whole bunch of questions. Yes it was my first box built myself. I followed the cf recommendation given to me by soundqubed after inquiring if my box from prev subs would do. Was 3.5 cf was told they work better in 4-5 cf so thats what i went for. I set gains with dmm then borrowed a dd1 and cc1 to set more correctly. No i dont have acess to an o scope and im not gonna get 1. I should have stated my opinion differently but this is my opinion of the subs. I reached out to sq and they blamed everything else but the subs. So i chose to vent

im sure someone here will take them off your hands! you have the 3.5 cubed box? the ssa will do abit better below 45hz. i think you really need something designed for a little more low-end like the SSA gcon..

I have no experience with the hds2 subs but soundqubed hds3 and hdc3 are actually great subs for the money IMO

I've seen even cheap subs sound good and expensive subs sound like shitaki. Probably not the subs fault

we are talking about 100$ subs here...they wont be miracle workers. Although they CAN be adequate, especially for the price, they are still 100$ subs. 200$ is viewed as the budget point by most.

yea. he knows that. i told him save up them dollars and get him a good old low-end monster.. the gcon is right up his ally..

no have not used mine. was going to do a wall and still mite as i have 2 s10 blazers..
and ya have 4 of the sq hds212 d2 . i have been using a sq hdc3 15" d2 and love it.
it gets down . with some songs it looks like my truck is doing the slow motion wave..lol
