I bought 2 sq hds212's built box 2 specs and i must say they are horrible . yes they only are low end subs. But **** i could have gotten better bass from my buttbbuying $200 worth of taco bell.very disappointed then they have thw never to tell me its my amp... The nine 1 is known to put out over rated watts fucc outta here! Never buying their **** again. O by the way i have 2 hds212s for sale if i dont blow thwm first.

Picture of your setup and give me the length x width x height of your box and also the height x width x depth of your ports before you even do anything bro. What car do you drive? What head unit? What direction is the sub and port facing? How did you set the gains

Man you must be smoking some of that good stuff. Pass that reefer over. On the real tho, you're probably tuned too low. That sub doesn't like a low tune. Has nothing to do with if your amp is capable enough. You need to tell us real box specs, not just built to spec. Also, did you make sure to set your gains correctly?

I would guess the box or gain as mentioned by others. Lots of people are happy with soundqubed. I'm extremely happy with the output from my HDS3s which are a little upgrade from the HDS2, but not that big of an upgrade.

I think @big scott is running HDS2s and is happy with them.
id absolutely love to see this box lol @BoogerMan nailed it
i cheaked his measurements and its 5.1 tuned to 33. they should sound decent in there. but looking at the parameters the FS of 39 with a CMS of 0.08 its not gonna have much lowend unless you do about 6.5 tuned to 34.. they aren't made to get low. im sorry but SQ makes cheap ****. i Didn't like my HDC3. within a month i re-coned it because it was literally one of the worst sounding drivers I've even used. PSI gave me a re-cone and recently i played it because i put it for sale a jeff made a good point. OMG it sounded so much better its not even funny. granted it was pretty loud with the original soft parts its just not a good sounding driver.

with a CMS of .08 and a QES of .6 its much more at home in a pro-sound application with a very large vernted box..

One of my buddies went against my recommendation and bought a Soundqubed HDS3 15 because his other friend said it was a low end monster. Some people just don't get it. Box is important but so is the driver, otherwise we'd all be running wild with some cheap flea market subs in awesome boxes.

i can assure you that the SD2 isnt a lowend monster. the box has to be big enough for a 15 and the 15 would dominate.

PICS!! With tape measurements! Ive been happy with my HDS310s,and have had HDS210s..Both got down and sounded pretty darn good..Come to TX. and I can give you a Demo of my pair of tens in 4cuft @32 HTZ..on 1750 rms:yumyum: Enclosure is the foundation of the subs..A cheap $40 sub can sound amazing in the correct enclosure and power, along within the environment and direction/placement

let me remind you i build woofers and understand woofers very well. this woofer has a FS of 39 hz and a CMS of .08 its meant to be tuned at 38 up. your hds3s or S2s wont impress me.

I wonder if there were any clipping issues as well as a lack of power to go along with any other issues/by spec?
none of those issues affect frequency response. and he set his gains with a DD1 even though i told him set his gains at about 35 volts. the DD1 set then with 51 volts out. ill trust me fundamental measurements before a DD1.

its this simple its rated to do 1200 RMS clean.

the SQRT of power * resistance= voltage.

the square-root root of 1200 is 34.6

granted you can probably go good deal higher because of the nature on musical recording and signals id start there.

only thing i can think is mass loading but it will affect the QES/QMS so its pretty pointless..
