Most things on the market today are repackaged cheap goods from a Chinese build house. The Chinese make the boards, the manu-packagers each choose their own case, they get different boxes, and they end up being sold on-line for a dime a watt. With few exceptions, Chinese made amplifiers are not bespoke products and you're really paying for the sticker on the case. I don't blame anyone for painting Chinese goods with a broad brush and calling it all junk. Part of the problem are vendors looking to maximize ROA. The other part of the problem, which is the biggest problem BTW, is the end user. Ask yourself how many threads have been made on this forum looking for X amount of 'watts' for under $200.
People want cheap amps...and that's what Soundstream is giving them.
