I am hooking up a full kicker system in my bronco. The sub is being powered by the kicker key 500-1 and im using a kicker comp 8” sub.

How do i hook up the speaker wires? The sub is 2ohm… this is where i het lost

Please use layman’s terms as this is not my forte.

The amp came as a package and has those two speaker wires included.

If the amp is 1 ohm stable you can wire like this to get more power

Hey guys… that speaker blew within two seconds. It gave out a quick thump then nothing.

I hooked it up like the top pic.. what did i do wrong. It was a brand new speaker..

I rush ordered another one will be here tomorrow.

Please advise.

Well I was gonna suggest maybe the subsonic filter was set too low but that should be less of an issue with a sealed box.

It didn’t even have a chance to play… it literally came on for a quick 2 seconds then silent. I tested a different speaker and it worked just fine

Ya i was thinking that as well.. i hooked everything up to the directions

If the second speaker was fine then that kinda rules out the amp imo

Check the wiring of the sub. Make sure all the cables are touching what they are suppose to be touching. Check the cables for any burnt marks. Are the negatives going to the negatives and the positives to the positives?
