There are some epoxies out that would work well to repair the area other than JB weld. Lemme dig up a link real quick.

If you dont get it welded....use that, seriously, dont do anything that someone else tells you to do, and dont cop out on it lol. I guarantee the duramix will hold it together and keep it sealed. Waaayyy better than anything else out there.

edit- Actually I forgot 3M bought out Duramix, they might not offer the small syringe style applicator anymore, you might have to get the big one.

Either way, if you dont get it welded do it this way, even if it costs you 100 bucks to get the epoxy compound and applicator gun (basically a caulk gun).

here's the plan thus far:
sand down everything.

drill small holes at the end of each crack (aparently that will help prevent it cracking further?).

JB Weld both sides.

Dynomat the inside. (friend at CC can get me some for the cheapz)

from there i'm going to keep a close eye and check on it once a week. If the LB Weld doesnt hold i'm going to resand everything off back to bare metal and get that $40 super adhesive.

knowing my luck i'm not even going to chance welding near that gastank.
