How much inconvenience will this really create, though?I mean lookit...

It took me about 12 seconds to take the pictures of the Proton amp I am currently trying to sell (including making the paper with my username and whatnot)

It took another 8 or 10 seconds to upload those pics to the pc.

It took an additional 15 seconds or so to upload them from the pc to my account at PhotoBucket.

From there it was simply a matter of copying/pasting the pics into the thread. Maybe half a minute or a bit more total??

I can't imagine that it would be dramatically different for anyone else selling something so I do not see it being an incredibly inconvenient requirement, guy. Furthermore, in my humble opinion I don't mind spending a few extra moments and a miniscule amount of effort to do something that can easily squash doubts in the mind of a potential buyer.

But maybe that's just me.
Doesnt take much time, but I dont see why I need to do it if I have plenty of feedback etc. Good sellers shouldnt be punished because some buyers are retarded //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

If they make it a rule, guess I'll still live //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif....just think its retarded. Those wanting to scam will still scam...those dumb enough to be scammed (usually ya have to be pretty blind) will still be scammed.

They need to worry about keeping away those who have been caught scamming. Until they can do that, nothing really matters imo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Bottom line is I'm not a scammer and don't feel I shall be punished for the actions of a few others(I have learned that often times I am punished for it though lol).

If right now, someone wants me to put my name on a piece of paper...I'd say uh nah. My feedback on here and ebay is all the proof they need //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Edit: kinda tired so some of that might not make sense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Is it seriously that inconvenient to take pix with your name in the picture? I don't care if you have 100 refs; if you state something is say cosmetically 7/10, I would still like to see pictures of that.

Well w/o pics or refs, you're prolly not gonna sell em anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifSo you're screwed anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
definitly makes it alot harder

not that big of a deal, though I dont see what putting my name on a piece of paper has to do with seeing the 7/10 condition //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I would agree a pic is worth a thousand words //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Guess I'd just like to see changes that would actually help stop scamming //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

im with you on the name on a piece of paper thing, its easily photoshopped anyway

then you get into hings like takng the picture of the paper, and counting how many lines are on the page an bleh.....

makes great sense for the noobix's though, but not for an established member

Also, i think the screen name of the seller should be included on an object (paper) in the picture, for authenticity.

lol have you read anything in this thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm perfectly open to other ideas, guy. If you have something that you legitimately believe will stem the tide of BS that we have been plagued with here of late I'd love to hear it. I think I can safely say that most of the other forum members would as well.

I'm talking outside of the people that are known, proven scammers and I most assuredly include situations such as the deal with King about the abused and blown MT and this latest deal with jeremyzach and that beat up Viper amp (where the buyer did actually get a product but it wasn't anywhere near how it had been described prior to selling) what do you think would genuinely help?

Dunno, and honestly until e1 on the net gets some common sense....there will always be scamming //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

I'd say actually getting rid of scammer would be a good start though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Also much easier said than done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

I just dont feel writing your name on a piece of paper is gonna do a thing...as mentioned, I wouldnt be shocked to see someone rig up a photo in a few minutes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

As for what will actually help...common sense is the only thing I can think of //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. I mean I feel sorry for people who gets scammed, but I mean some were just asking for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif..........not to say its ok to scam those people

man if this would have been asked about 2 weeks ago i would say no they shouldnt be required b/c i have bought stuff from here and never had a problem with any of the transactions but now that this lil piece of shit thats like to call himself loudrango up and decides he wants to scam somebody, noone should be allowed to sell anything without pics of the date they are posting and they're user name next to it...

Not only should pics be required, but a piece of paper with the persons screen name and the date the thread is POSTED should be in the pic as well.anything less means nothing.

this wont STOP scammers, because they can take your money and just not send ur package. It will stop the ones using others photos and taking money when they dont even HAVE the product.
