Won't buy anything w/o pics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. But I also wont buy something off someone I wouldnt trust. Therefore, imo...no need for name date etc with each pic. Not a HUGE waste of time, but I don't really see it helping. Also, I have plenty of refs from higher $ sales. If someone doesnt trust me, thats cool....they can piss off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Read that thread. If the seller had been required to post pix, then the whole situation couldve been avoided.

already saw it....and I've said many times I wouldnt trust that guy with his past. If the buyer would have done his part...he would have never bought from the dude //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Sux for him, but people need to use their heads //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Pics should be posted......prices shouldnt have to be.

Also, the forum cant hold a buyers hand all the time- they have to bear a little responsibility for deals they make.

Ive seen PESteele's thread referenced a few times- I feel bad for him, and Jeremyzach is a definite douche, but had Steel just insisted on the pics, he wouldnt be in this situation right now.

I'm gonna have to go with bimma on this one.

(a) jeremyHack has proven on numerous occasions how incredibly moronic he is.

(b) There were no pics provided even though PESteele says he requested them on multiple occasions (which brings to mind the question of why did he buy if he never got the pics he asked for?!?)

So....why, exactly, did this sale even happen to begin with?

Back on point, however, I agree wholeheartedly that pics should be included as a part of ALL For Sale threads.

If someone who wants to sell something here cannot provide pics and price, then there are 15 other car audio forums with classified sections who require absolutely nothing of the seller to prove the stuff is legitimite. IE : dont like the rules, post your sh!t somewhere else.....whats so difficult with that logic?

I run a car audio forum as well....in my classified section pictures and prices are required from day one of us opening the site. If they dont like it, sell your junk on Sound Domain where there are 29832938 scammers ciricling the place like buzzards.

It's easy enough to post pics and an asking price. You should be required to have a pic with a piece of paper with your screen name on it next to the item. And you should be giving, "the shocker" in the pic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

its not gonna stop scammers one bit, just gonna be inconvenient to the honest folks.

So, whats the point?

Well w/o pics or refs, you're prolly not gonna sell em anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

some simple guidline or even a form for sellers to fill out would be great. covering the basics like...

item name:

description:

price:

condition:

or somewhere along those lines.

I put pics and price with my last FS thread. Check it out if ya don't believe me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Seriously someone buy my MD2

How much inconvenience will this really create, though?

I mean lookit...

It took me about 12 seconds to take the pictures of the Proton amp I am currently trying to sell (including making the paper with my username and whatnot)

It took another 8 or 10 seconds to upload those pics to the pc.

It took an additional 15 seconds or so to upload them from the pc to my account at PhotoBucket.

From there it was simply a matter of copying/pasting the pics into the thread. Maybe half a minute or a bit more total??

I can't imagine that it would be dramatically different for anyone else selling something so I do not see it being an incredibly inconvenient requirement, guy. Furthermore, in my humble opinion I don't mind spending a few extra moments and a miniscule amount of effort to do something that can easily squash doubts in the mind of a potential buyer.

But maybe that's just me.
