Should I get more Aeroports?

I have a US Amps De-1000 pushing a 15" XXX in a 4^3cuft boz with two 4" Aero's. I can't remember what it's tuned to, lower 30's if I remember correctly.

I hit a 140.8 in a local competition. I have no extra batteries or caps.

First of all is that good at all?

The real question is should I add another two 4" Aero's. Would the extra port space affect it that much? SQ? SPL?

Aeroports look like that (mine are a little different).

You can adjust the length of the tube in all four easily to change the length overall and adjust the frequency.

The extra two ports would take up a little more room, but it wouldn't be a huge amount and I could take that into consideration when i readjust the frequency. ..

if you add two more 4" aero's to your set up, I would expect the tuning frequency to jump like 20-30hz keeping everything the same length as original. I bet you dont have enough port length (maximum of 17" with standard aeroport tubing + flared ends) to make it work... 3 aero's though, that may be better. if you are tuned to lower 30's, add a single aero the same length, that should bump tuning up a bit and give you a better frequency. play around with bass box pro and get shit all set up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif good luck!

I don't know if my box is 4cuft^3ft net or gross. obvoiusly i'm gong to readjust the portlength to get whatever frequency i need. basically the question i have is whether or not the extra two ports would b eworth it if EVERYTING ELSE WAS ADJUSTED CORRECTLY i'm no moron i would make sure everyting worked. i want to know if the extra port area woudl help.

obvoiusly I woudl take the ones that are in there now out and adjust the lengths of all four ports to make the frequency appropriate.

nobody has answered this question yet....
