Setting Gain on Speaker Amp. Pics!

when i swtich over to low, i dont hear any highs as all i hear is bass coming from my midrange woofers. I think "low" is for subwoofers correct? im tuning come components speakers. i have it on "full" right now at 240hz. i didn't really notice any difference when i turned the frequency hz knob.

sh** I already mounted the amp back on and put the back seats back. I cant adjust anything anymore because the way the amp is mounted is very low and i cant access it. Anyways, will 240hz cause any damage to anything? it sounded ok so i just left it there. ???
If you left the switch on full, the crossover is off and the components will play all frequencies. You will not lose midbass running them this way. I ran mine this way for a few months when I was without a sub with no problems. Keep in mind that the midranges can be damaged by overexcursion if you play music with low bass at high volumes. Most people running subs will set the crossovers so that the midranges don't play the low bass the sub is already handling.

A lowpass crossover blocks frequencies above the setting. A highpass filter blocks frequences below the setting. My system is set to send everything above 70hz (highpass) to the components and everything below 70hz (lowpass) to the sub.
