setting bassboost

Honestly im running just 1 12 and kicker 750.1 and thats more than enough for me.

I just got it installed today didnt have much time to play with controls.

But rear view mirror already fell down. Just glued it back on.

very nice! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif enjoy the ride...
Thanks man.

Last 1st grader question:

for setting the gains on the amp: the way i knew and the way i did it was to lower the gain to zero, increase the volume of the speakers to point right before they distort and the slowly adjust the gain to desirabe level.

right? wrong?

oh yeah and keeping bass boost at 0 (smthing i picked from today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

flatten all the eq settings on the h/u, turn it up to 3/4 of the max you will have it, (my h/u distorts at about 50 of 62 so i put it at 34) and turn the gain up til it distorts, then back it off a little... then crank it up to the max listening, and if it distorts, back down to 34, turn it down a little more, then back up... repeat til it sounds right...

EQs u mean where it says MIDS LOWS HIGHs? turned them all the way to 0?

i did not do That.

There's also frequency setting in Hz? where do u have them set?

And also reverse sub, normal sub?

Will try that tomorrow morning -see if it sounds better.

reverse refers the the phase the sub moves at, in or out on bass hits, tune it to your liking, it will sound right to you one way or the other... as far as htz, for your sub, this would be the crossover, on lpf for my sub it is set at 80, and on the hpf it is set at 80... one of your pre set eq options should be flat... use that to set your gains. and make sure your crossover knob on the amp is set at about where 80 should be. on those kicker amps it's from 50 to 200 and each line represents an increment of 25, so just after the first line after 50... thats how i do it... are you running an amp for the front stage?

you'd be surprised... i'd amp em' they'll probably do more for ya, off the h/u they're only getting 22 rms... what're they rated for? maybe 50? doesn't seem like it'd make a difference but it will. i had some old crappy jensens when i first bought my suv that were in them, and i had an old sony 2 channel sittin around so i thought, why not... night and day difference... it balanced my system out dramatically, and i could actually hear the lyrics when i listened to rap instead of just bass! lol
