Genesis vs Zapco

I have been highly thinking about trading my rainbow amps back and picking up either 2 Genesis Profile 4 channels or 2 Zapco Digital Reference 4 channels. Can anyone give me any insight to either one of these companies.

What exactly are the Rainbows not doing for you?

You really can't go wrong with any of the three companies mentioned here...

the rainbows are working fine...it was just a thought i had. ive always heard that the genesis amps are strong solid amps

They are.

If you're getting that urge, I'd say go for it...if you have nothing else that needs improving on your system first.

i think im pretty set for everything...i mean im running the CMX 6.5" extreme kicks up front, the soundline 5.25" components for the rear doors and my SI Mag 15 w/ a sundown 1000 powering that. so the system is pretty good right now lol

A friend had 3amps in his setup, and the sound was beautiful, warm

If you have no other processing in your system, it would not be a bad idea to upgrade to the Zapco DC series for their built-in processing abilities.

i do have a PPI-FRX 456 crossover im using right now....i mean if i were to go with the Zapcos i would more then likely eliminate that

Zapco DC processing is MUCH more advanced than what that PPI offers.

IMO, if that PPI is the only processing you had, and you were already in the market for a new amplifier.....the upgrade to the Zapco DC would be worthwhile.

Or, keep the Rainbow if you are otherwise happy with them and investigate other external processing options.
