so i got a rockford fosgate 800a2 and im not to familar with it yet but it has a gain knob for each channel and im looking to see if i can get some more out of if. gains are both set by the ear o scope 1/3 of the dial, i have a hdc3 d2 bridged at 4 ohms on it, and with the equation to get around 1075 watts at 4 i need 65.57v. so my question is do i cut that in half and aim for 32.78v per channel?? or 65.57v per channel?

If you bridge the amp generally only 1 gain knob will do anything as you've reduced the amp down to 2 outputs, generally it's the R gain/rca, but you can check your manual.

-Gain for left and right channels are set equally to balance the subwoofer.

Setting each channel individually will yield the same results as trying to set them together.

500w @ 2 ohm = 31.6V per channel (x2)

1000w @ 4 ohm = 63.24V combined (or 31.6 x2)
