Sealed VS. Ported

55 hz and under, for daily and SPL use
55 Hz isn't exactly what I'd call a "low tune" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

well, those Pioneers you have are mostly considered excellent SPL subs, but a low tuning (say around 25 Hz) will give you a lot of SQ while providing that low end "bump" you're apparently looking for...

it worked out very well in my install...

OK, so ported! Now, Should I have a single box, and a seperate chamber for each, or a single box and 1 chamber, or 2 boxes 1 for each?

And, back to tuning, tune to 30?? Will that meet my "low" "needs"?? Daily to me is the same as SPL, always loud, all the time, and always low.

i can sum this thread up with 2 words and a symbol...........

sealed = crap
I can sum you up in 2 words, you're a dumbfuk. Not everyone enjoys ported. I happen to like both though. Its a preference.

Anyway, I dont know about you guys but I for some reason dont think that anything tuned about 30hz will get low. From my experience: I installed by bro's system consisting of almost exactly what is in my sig. The difference is that his HC is a 12" and his box is 2.1 Cubic ft tuned to 32 Hz. Our amps are set exactly the same too. There is a tremendous sound difference in the very low notes. His sub simply does not play them. My sealed HC is a different story though, I dont have anything it cannot play.

big words from such a small man (assuming thats you in the pic).

I happen to like both though. Its a preference.

yes....... and i stated my "preference". you are the "dumbfuk" that had to comment on it.

again i refer to my original statement.............
