Sealed VS. Ported

big words from such a small man (assuming thats you in the pic).
i'm 5'8". Problem with that? Yes, I have a Napoleon complex //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

did i say every one enjoys ported??? not anywhere in my post did i even remotely say that
do agree with ya on this one...you just said you thought sealed was crap, and was stating that as an opinion. Which is true sometimes, some subs really do sound like shit in sealed enclosures, and come alive in ported boxes. The opposite also holds true sometimes. This is where T/S specs and personal experiences come into play //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

To answer the original poster's question...

Should I have a single box, and a seperate chamber for each, or a single box and 1 chamber, or 2 boxes 1 for each?
Common chamber is generally better to do for ported designs, because you don't need to design and build/tune two identical port systems.

Well for my Se12, i used the SQL setup tuned to 35hz so ill let you guys know how good it sounds tomorrow when i cut the circle for my sub! Oh yeah does anyone else have a box tuned to 35? I want some opinions

LOl, Quoting me will get you no where. Mustangs happen to have a high roof. Even a 6 foot tall guy like me with the seat on the highest setting seems short when seen from the outside, or from the angle of the camera in that particular pic.

Did I say that you said that everyone enjoys ported? You stated what you did in a factual manner when in truth there are no facts about this subject. You did not mention anywhere that it was your opinion. If a P5 sounds better than a Brahma to me then I am right. Ported is NOT better, neither is sealed. Better should not be used all to often neither should your great description "crap" either. These words are too broad. What would have been smarter from you was to say that a ported box is "better" for getting those higher numbers or to give you that tickle in the ear. Or in your case, sealed is "crap" compared to a ported box for strictly SPL.

Your a freaking loser just like every other loser on this site who likes to just blurt out "GO PORTED" or "SEALED SUCKS" and not even asking if the individual who is deciding about his music or exactly how loud is too loud etc...

When you reply to people's comments please learn to do it with some informative comments or some sort of a point or lesson. Think about what you type because your comments have been pathetic.

Im 6'3 And i cant fit in a Mustang. My Convertable Miata. I have to take my shoes off to touch the clutch. Or my foot is too big. But i fit in that more comfortably than a stang.

i see 30hz will be very good, and he will still be around the sub Fs.

25hz is too low , al so , cause port lenght will be too long(more port VOL.), and he will need larger enclosure to fit that port in.

25hz is too low , also , cause port lenght will be too long(more port VOL.), and he will need larger enclosure to fit that port in. (i find that inefficient)

considering tunning frequency is constant:

"the lower the tunning, the longer ur port length"

"the larger the port sq area, the longer ur port length"

I was also thinking of having my custom setup for my ID MAX 10's tuned to 30hz.

I don't see how that tuning won't allow the sub to play the lows. I was under the impression that VERY little music program exists below 30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

What instrument could play significantly lower than 30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Just asking...
