reversed speaker sound and tuning help

when I adjust from my HU the position of the sound right and left control the actual front and rear and visa versa. Also i get some low static, not sure what to set the the amps mode on for each channel, there is FULL/HPF/LPF for channels 1-2 and 3-4. I need help figuring the easy way to fix speaker phase and how to properly tune the amp. I have a sony HU with all the equalizer settings needed after amps are set. its an Autotek 950.4, I want nice sounding audio from my speakers so bad.

The reversed right to left and back to font is mixed up wires most likely. Just swap the right and left, and back and front wires on the amp. BOTH power and ground for each. Sometimes the low static/feedback is caused by running a power wire along the RCA's to the front of the vehicle. If they are together try separating them.

Thanks I'll try that, I ran the power separate from the audio cables already. is it possible the static was introduced when i connected my harness chassis and earth ground to my HU's chassis ground on the frame?

I would put money on the fade and balance being like that is caused by the rca's not connected in the proper place. as for the speaker polarity if you can physically see the speakers then all you have to do it disconnect the speaker wires off the amp and connect them to a 9v battery. If they pop out then they are in phase if they pop in they are out of phase. as for the static it could be a lot of things but the first thing I would check is gain levels. if you turn the deck up a little and get a lot of output you have your gains too high and will also lower the background static.
